Yahoo! Europe and Turkish GSM provider Turkcell have announced that they have signed an agreement for Yahoo! to provide Turkcell users with access to Yahoo! Mobile services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Turkcell customers will be able to access favourite Yahoo! Mobile services in English via their phones. These include Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Weather, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Address Book, Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! Horoscopes, Yahoo! Directory and Yahoo! Search.

Turkcell customers will also be able to access the Yahoo! Messenger Service. These services will be made available via a direct link on Turkcell's WML home page. HTML services will include a co-branded Yahoo! Messenger to be featured on the Turkcell website at www.turkcell.com.tr. Turkcell's agreement with Yahoo! Europe, a leading Internet communications company, clearly demonstrates Turkcell's commitment to providing its customers with the latest mobile data services. The agreement with Turkcell is a further development in the Yahoo! Everywhere initiative which extends the Yahoo! brand, content and services beyond the desktop.

The deal will enable Turkcell's 10.1 million users to access Yahoo!'s comprehensive range of mobile services and join the 180 million worldwide users of the Yahoo! network. Mr. Cuneyt Turktan, Turkcell's Chief Executive Officer, commented: "This association with Yahoo! will allow us to continue providing quality content and services to Turkcell subscribers."
