Emirates Airlines is using offline enticements to drive business to its online ticket booking site. The UAE’s flagship carrier is now offering double bonus miles to UAE-based members of its frequent flyer programme, Skywards, when they book their seats through emirates.com or skywards.com.

Skywards members will receive their bonus miles when they buy their tickets and fly between now and March 31st. A member booking online and making a return business class journey to London from the UAE would earn 17,070 Skywards Miles.

"This facility is yet another of the many available to our members who enjoy a programme that goes way beyond their journey, offering access to special networking events, sponsored events and private clubs," said Brian LaBelle, general manager, Skywards. "We are very pleased to offer double mileage to our valued members as part of the expansion of Emirates' online booking facility in the UK and Ireland."

Emirates has recently made its online booking facility available to customers in the UK and Ireland.
