Middle East careers portal CareerMidEast.com has introduced online payment for companies looking to recruit from its sites. The recruitment network, which was set up last year, spans twelve country-specific sites across the Middle East and North Africa. The sites will remain free for the thousands of users that have posted their resumes to the sites, while businesses that are looking to recruit will now be able to pay online, 24hours a day, in addition to traditional payment methods.

“CareerMidEast.com’s corporate clients in the region, now have more options for payment, ranging from cash, cheques, wire transfers through to payment online by credit card,” said Tarek Amin, chief marketing officer and co-founder of CareerMidEast.com. “We are keen to provide our customers with solutions that enhance their performance and give them an edge over their competitors. The new online payment feature makes recruiting via CareerMidEast.com even easier.”

The payment system has been built using Microsoft Internet Information Server, SQL Server and Windows 2000 Server using Active Server Pages, running on a dual-processor Compaq Proliant Server. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software is used to encrypt commerce transactions from recruiters.

“This new online payment solution is a sophisticated and secure e-commerce service which will help Career MidEast.com meet increasing client demands well into the future,” said Shereef Bishay, chief technical officer and co-founder of CareerMidEast.com.
