UAE customers have a new secure on-line florist to take care of their floral gifts after Abu Dhabi-based, California Flowers launched its range of fresh flowers online using Comtrust’s QuickShop package.

California Flowers launched the site, at, in time for Eid and the New Year and became the latest in a line of companies to join the growing list of customers to use QuickShop, from Comtrust, the e-business infrastructure unit of Etisalat.

QuickShop comprises storefront software, Web space, credit card-based online payment services and digital server certificates, and facilitates businesses in quickly setting up an e-commerce presence without needing much technical know-how.

“The decision of California Flowers to choose the QuickShop package is a further illustration of the flexibility of this package,” said Saoud Al Shamsi, Comtrust sales manager.

“One of the unique selling points of the QuickShop package is the fact that the online payment service is readily integrated with the storefront in a seamless process. As a consequence no additional interfacing is needed to go online,” he added. “The solution is also scalable. So, as the company’s operations grow, future investment will be minimal.”
