Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) has embraced the new digital age by announcing a new corporate brand identity. The new brand identity, embodied in a new company logo, is designed to reflect the company’s new focus in e-business software to accelerate growth.

“As we begin 2001, CA is refocusing our efforts on developing and supporting the software that manages e-business,” said CA president and CEO Sanjay Kumar. “Our new brand identity reflects not only our e-business leadership, but also our focus on CA customers, shareholders, employees and partners.”

This multi-functional new logo apparently achieves all of this by its design, which features the companies initials predominantly contained within a circle. CA claims that the circle represents the lens of its new strategic focus and its dedication to leading in the e-business marketplace. The logo and other new corporate branding elements will shortly be featured in CA’s advertising and marketing communications. So customers can soon judge for themselves what the new logo says to them.
