Visitors to ITP.net last week were divided on whether gifts bought online would arrive in the Middle East by the end of the month.

Very nearly half of the visitors to ITP.net last week believed that gifts bought online at that time would not be delivered in time for Christmas or Eid.

The uncertainty could be good news for local online retailers that are offering 24 hour deliver within their own countries.

ITP.net did not ask for reasons why people thought gifts would not arrive. There were extensive reports in the media last year about dissatisfaction over late delivery from American shoppers buying from stores within their own country which may be casting doubt.

On top of this, most people in the Middle East will have been subject to delays for packages coming in from overseas. With just over two weeks remaining until Christmas and Eid, the combination of these two factors are likely to be causing Middle East shoppers concerns.
