Microsoft Gulf and Eastern Meditteranean (GEM) has put a technology guarantee programme in place which offers customers purchasing any version of Microsoft BackOffice Server 4.5 with a free upgrade to either the full package, or version upgrades, of BackOffice Server 2000 and Small Business Server 2000.

“Technology is advancing at a fast pace and businesses are increasingly demanding more functionality from their technology,” said Etienne Jacques, sales director, Microsoft GEM. “This programme is designed to safeguard business customers from technological obsolescence and help them take advantage of technology solutions in a cost effective manner.”

The offer is valid in Pakistan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malta, Pakistan, Qatar, Oman and the UAE. The no-cost upgrade to Microsoft BackOffice Server 2000 is designed to ensure that customers receive the latest version of all server products that are part of the software package, while the upgrade to Small Business Server 2000 incorporates Windows 2000-based upgrades to all component technologies. These include including Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server.
