Planetarabia revs up service

Leading Arab portal site has given its service a turbo boost with Speedera's Universal Delivery Network

Planetarabia, the Arab world portal, has boosted performance of its site with technology from Speedera Networks. Using Speedera’s high speed Universal Delivery Network, Planetarabia is reporting over a 200% increase in overall site performance, including faster data access, enhanced availability and improved scalability.

“It is important for our users to be able to access our site quickly,” said Bijan Dastmalchi, chief operating officer of “Internet users simply do not have the patience to wait for several seconds in order to view content. We are delighted that our partnership with an industry leader like Speedera affords us the opportunity to deliver this value to our users.”

The Speedera UDN consists of one hundred Speedera servers, located at strategic locations around the globe to boost response time and service quality. It provides infrastructure for Internet services, including next generation global load balancing, failover, content delivery, digital goods distribution and content-rich streaming services.
