There’s just over a week to go before holiday-makers can enjoy another 150 beach-resort rooms in the new Le Meridien Jumeira Beach Tower. Work on the 154-room Tower extension, which “soft opens” on September 16, is almost finished and will include a spa and health club facility, tea lounge and three new restaurant and bar outlets.

“With the new Tower we can offer a superior product to guests looking for personalized service,” said Siggi von Brandt, sales and marketing director. “In addition, we will have extra banqueting space on the 15th floor Al Khaleej ballroom which can cater for up to 300 guests.”

The hotel, which is the second biggest in Dubai, will be able to boast a total of 500 rooms and 12 food and beverage outlets. Le Meridien, part of the UK-based Forte Hotels, already has three hotels in Dubai and will open an additional resort in Fujairah in summer 2001.
