Porsche Middle East puts your fantasy car online

You don't have to own a Porsche to enjoy this award-winning site. Consider it a theatre of dreams.

The Internet is a place to dream. You can lose yourself for hours browsing travel sites for holidays you could never afford or celebrity sites for stars you will never meet.

And now there is one more dream site: www.porsche-middleeast.com.

The German car maker has added a specific area for the Middle East to its international Web site. The local site provides news on Porsche launches and events; details on all Porsche models sold in the Gulf and information on dealers and Porsche owners clubs.

"Our customers have always expressed an interest in having such a home page that caters specifically for the Middle East. The focus on the Middle East is evident in the design, structure and information available at he site," said Mark Bishop, managing director of Porsche Middle East.

Perhaps the greatest lure for the online fast car fanatic is the "Build your dream Porsche car" feature. Here you can select your favourite base model and then start tinkering with its colour, its interior, its wheels and its spoilers; and the Web site instantly changes the on-screen image of the car.
