Trips abroad for sales meetings and strategy sessions could soon be a thing of the past if Videocall Group’s predictions come true.

The UK-based videoconferencing specialists expect visual and audio global communications to receive a boost from its new set of web-based solutions called eVideocall.

Aiming at a “vis-enabled” business environment, the eVideocall package, developed in partnership with PictureTel, allows realtime videoconferencing via the web to any Internet-enabled PC in the world.

Using voice and visionover IP, instead of the usual ISDN link, eVideocall has been used recently for global video conferences of over 1,000 people in 16 different global locations.

"Click and See"

Broadcasting of the presentation is controlled by the presenter, so the way the presentation is seen can modified for different parts of the audience in real time.

Rob Portwood, MD said: “All a business needs to visually communicate with any number of people around the world is a web-browser - its as simple as that - just “click and see” your work colleagues, wherever they are.

"EVideo enables corporations to take immediate fundamental decisions on its own business strategy, and act upon them far more quickly. This is fly by wire communications and management - get the message out there to everybody now.”
