Invensys Power Systems moved this month to clarify the position of the two UPS brands it bought during the course of last year, and to emphasise the increase in its local presence to support these.

Last year, Invensys Power Systems acquired both Powerware (formerly Exide) and Best Power.

“Both our key brands are very strong in their particular areas of expertise, and we can now offer customers the industry’s broadest selection of UPS topologies, power ranges, configuration options and connectivity software capabilities. This marriage of the two brands has given Invensys Power Systems the additional resources to take its products and services to new quarters of the international marketplace,” said John F. Paul, president of the Secure Power division of Invensys Power Systems.

According to Invensys Power Systems, the ‘marriage’ of the two brands requires a more rigid support structure, and the Middle East operation will handle this by deploying a fully integrates technical and sales support team reporting into Middle East boss, Andy Grey.

Powerware and Best Power are distributed through Gemnet, Nile Engineering, Four Stars, and Al Khereiji in the Middle East.
