Nokia has teamed up with Navicore, a provider of interactive navigation products, and NAVTEQ, a provider of digital maps, to launch a new navigation system on its handsets. The application, Navicore Personal, is the first Arabic-speaking navigator for mobile devices, Nokia claimed.

“Our agreement with Navicore allows us to continue to be at the forefront of mobile technology as well as serve the linguistic needs of the Arabic market,” sad Zsolt Menesi, director, multimedia experiences, Nokia Middle East and Africa (MEA). The application is compatible with over 30 Nokia phones, according to the firms.
