New leader at Toshiba levant

Toshiba has found a new boss to run its Levantine and Egyptian operation in the shape of Elia Mansour, a product manager at Lebanese distribution partner PC Dealnet.

Mansour was responsible for developing sales and marketing plans for Toshiba products at PC Dealnet, and is expected to work closely with his former employers in his new role.

He will be tasked with extending the notebook vendor’s sales and marketing activities in the channel and maintaining its position in Lebanon where it remains the largest notebook brand.

“The move complements Toshiba’s strategy to move away from sales support being a centralised function, towards in-country support which gets us closer to each market and enables us to respond rapidly to changing market conditions,” said Ahmed Khalil, general manager at Toshiba Middle East.

The appointment of Mansour is the second addition that Toshiba has made to its Middle East management team in recent months.

During September it unveiled Moataz Reda as its new country manager for Saudi Arabia.

Reda had previously been running HP’s channel strategy in the Kingdom.
