Business communications solution provider Mitel has announced the development of a new communication system aimed at helping doctors and other healthcare professionals to gain quick and easy access to data on patients.

The system, which is called Tele-Call, enables hospital staff to look at up-to-date information regarding patients, such as patient records, dietary and catering services, bed status reporting, digital imaging services, patient discharge administration and medication, at the point of care.

It also provides medical staff with real-time access to lab test results and information such as patient allergies.
