New tactics for OpenNet

Opennet — the master distributor for Red Hat Linux products in the Middle East and Africa — has revealed plans to direct more of its focus towards the large enterprise space.

The company has historically built up its business from sales to small end-users, but intends to diversify its strategy with the assistance of more than 200 channel partners that it works with throughout the region.

Anis Krichen, financial director at Opennet MEA, said: “For the past three years, we have been focusing on developing our activity in the small and medium business market.

Our new expansion strategy is more aggressive and involves getting more references with large enterprises through our business partners,” he added.

Opennet, which is owned by a Tunisian holding company, already counts Emirates Airlines and Al Ghurair Group as clients and believes recent enhancements to its training, support and consulting offerings will inspire partners to target large accounts.

“We have already started working with partners in key markets like UAE and KSA in terms of large projects,” added Krichen.

“We’re now looking for strong and reliable partners ready to develop the enterprise markets in Qatar and Kuwait.”
