Chinese vendor Huawei has won a deal with Worldcall Group, a rapidly growing telecoms group in Pakistan, to deploy a CDMA wireless local loop (WLL) network.

Under the terms of the deal Huawei will provide Worldcall with civil engineering, infrastructure deployment, management and optimisation services.

The new CDMA WLL network will be built on Huawei's CDMA softswitch solution and 450/479MHz base stations.

"Huawei's WLL solution will allow Worldcall quick network deployment, as well as enhanced network flexibility and security," commented Wang Jiading, VP at Huawei's Middle East and North Africa operations.

"We will continue to offer customised solutions and professional services to create long-term value for our customers."

Huawei offers end-to-end CDMA2000 solutions including core equipment, services platform, handsets and fixed terminals.

In March, the company claimed to hold 65% of the CDMA450 business and 68% of the CDMA WLL market.
