RaNo Software has released WiFiTalkie, a program for Palm OS devices that effectively turns them into ‘walkie-talkie’ two-way radios.

WiFiTalkie uses VoIP (Voice over IP) technology to broadcast audio data and supports full duplex mode, meaning users can broadcast and receive voice signals simultaneously.

The app requires two or more compatible devices with a broadband network connection (WiFi).

The handhelds themselves must be WiFi-compatible. Non-WiFi models could work with the Palm Wi-Fi SD card. WiFiTalkie v1.0 is available in free trial form from www.ranosoft.net.
