Acer has unveiled the Aspire 9510 - a new notebook that features built-in high definition (HD) DVD support.

HD DVD is the next-generation movie format developed by the DVD Forum.

Compared to current, standard-definition DVD, HD is designed to offer improved picture clarity, enhanced colour saturation and a host of new feature possibilities such as mid-movie menu access, and video movie commentaries that can, if required, include illustrative examples and on-screen drawings.

In addition to HD-DVD support, the Aspire 9510 series also boasts high definition audio, and DVI-D and HDMI ports.
