Dubai Outsource Zone (DOZ) will take aim at the hospitality sector next year, a senior executive said.

Presently the free zone targets four verticals: banking and finance; insurance; health; and IT. From 2008 the free zone will also address the hospitality sector, according to Ismail Al Naqi, director of DOZ.

"DOZ wants to get actively involved into the back office operations of the hospitality segment," said Al Naqi.

As it looks to target the new sector, DOZ will also expand its facilities to accommodate potential customers according to its director. The zone has invested US$50million and provided office space of one million square feet for phase three of its development, out of a total of 33 million square feet. Al Naqi said DOZ will also look outside the UAE to attract customers.

"DOZ has been servicing clients from here for Saudi markets and therefore it definitely has a lot of potential," he explained.
