Elite and Select members of networking vendor Juniper's channel programme will have the opportunity to obtain a specialisation in Unified Access Control (UAC) when the accreditation is rolled out later this month.

UAC represents Juniper's fifth partner specialisation and the first one it has launched for almost a year. "This specialisation has been created following Juniper's realisation that there is an increasing customer demand for access control and specialised knowledge in that area," explained David Small, VP channels EMEA at Juniper.

"Juniper always strives to provide its partners with the necessary technology and expertise to take advantage of emerging technology areas. And we do believe that this is an emerging one that can bring a lot of business and profits to our partners," he said.

Small (pictured) is hopeful that as many as 80% of Middle East partners will migrate to the new specialisation. Juniper is currently finalising training modules and certification procedures with a view to going live at the end of June.
