BSB overhauls banking system

Bahraini Saudi Bank (BSB) is to install a core banking system from Indian IT services firm Infosys, it announced today.

The deal is the first Infosys has won in Bahrain for its Finacle system, which addresses core banking, e-banking, treasury, wealth management and customer relationship management (CRM) requirements of banks.

“We chose Infosys as a strategic technology partner based on their international presence, technological strengths and domain expertise that specifically addresses the unique needs of BSB,” said Khalid Shaheen, CEO of Bahraini Saudi Bank.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Infosys has previously supplied Finacle to Arab National Bank in Saudi Arabia.
