UAE-based The Network Center (TNC) has enhanced its portfolio of services with a region-wide agreement to act as an authorised training partner (ATP) for Nokia.

As an ATP, TNC is qualified to train end-users in security and mobile technologies developed by the Finnish mobile telecoms giant. Nokia's enterprise solutions portfolio comprises enterprise firewall and virtual private network (VPN) appliances, intrusion prevention products and its IntelliSync mobile suite.

Nabeel Ahmed, general manager at TNC, said the partnership strengthened the company's position in the Middle East IT training market.

"Businesses across the region are rapidly adapting to Nokia technologies as the training inquiries and sessions within the short span of our Nokia ATP status have been immense. We appreciate Nokia's confidence in our team and intend to live up to it," he stated.

Salil Dighe, security and mobile connectivity (SMC) business manager at Nokia MEA, said the appointment of TNC was a result of the company's performance in the vendor's channel scheme. "As intricate as we are with our product R&D (research and development), we choose our training partners with great care," he explained.
