HP announced it is expanding its global printing supplies portfolio to deliver more customer choice, greater value, and a dramatically simplified ordering experience.

HP has rolled out its latest ink refinement products, which it says is the result of 12,000 engineering and scientist hours and 22,000 litres of ink in testing, optimising and scaling up ink formation.

The new cartridge line-up includes HP standard print cartridges, HP value print cartridges, and HP specialty print cartridges, marking a change in the way HP printing supplies will be offered to consumers globally.

"The standard, value and specialty ranges announced today are a further manifestation of the ongoing strategy: to provide customers with unrivalled choice - not only in printer platforms but also in printing supplies," said Vincent Vanderpoel, vice president and general manager Supplies Business for Imaging and Printing Group EMEA.

The HP standard print cartridges are aimed at cost conscious customers who print in low volumes but require reliability; the HP value print cartridges target customers with high volume printing needs who are also concerned with operating costs, such as enterprises and smaller businesses.

Also available will be the HP specialty print cartridges, which allow customers to utilise advanced ink technology for more specialised printing needs.

Additionally, HP is extending the new look and feel of its supplies to online shoppers on HP's Home and Home Office shopping web site, enabling consumers to find and order the right supplies to meet their printing needs conveniently.

The company aims to provide a greater variety of print cartridges at new price point options and in new colour-coded packaging for easier selection both in store and online.

"It's a real departure from the way the supplies industry has operated to date and we're confident it will be well received by our customers," Vanderpoel said.
