Trend Micro has revamped its channel programme for the EMEA region and introduced a portal to allow partners to access information and services online.

Trend Micro has revamped its channel programme for the EMEA region and introduced a portal to allow partners to access information and services online.

The ‘Affinity Partner programme' will offer market tools and business leads to partners while the portal will be a backbone to the programme and vendor activities.

"The programme will be a single partner framework throughout EMEA and therefore the partners with cross European focus will enjoy the consistency the programme offers," said Justin Doo, MEA managing director of Trend Micro.

The security vendor's previous programme, called ‘Partner Web', which existed for five years did not offer such tools to partners, Doo said. "In the new version there have been process improvements like partner relationship management system which looks at simplifying mechanics of channel, distribution of leads, registration of opportunities plus access to a host of marketing solutions. This system is like a back end to the entire programme," he claimed.
