Demonstrating how to save money and create new commercial opportunities is the aim of an SMB-focused ‘Open Day' being held by OKI for resellers and retailers this month.

John Ross, general manager at Oki Printing Solutions Middle East, says the purpose of the Dubai-based event is to show businesses how they can significantly slash the cost of printing and discover original ways to build new services by using printed output and documentation more effectively. "We're already working with a large number of business customers to do just that and the results have been very real indeed," he added.

Oki will use the ‘Open Day' to showcase a range of its commercial products including its latest A3 colour and monochrome capable printer, the C8800, along with what the vendor hails as the smallest colour A3 printer in the world, the C8600.

Oki claims its printers slash the cost of producing documentation and offer potential savings of thousands of dollars per year against ink jet technologies as well as the potential to replace many outsourced printing tasks, such as leaflet and business card printing.

"The result is that creativity is preserved in the company, costs are saved and reaction times become faster and more immediate. These are some of the benefits we'll be demonstrating to SMB customers and resellers alike," concluded Ross.
