HP nets prize for ProCurve

HP's ProCurve Networking has been named a leader in wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure.

HP's ProCurve Networking has been named a leader in wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure.

According to a report by Forrester Research, ProCurve is a leader in the segment "due to its enterprise-class feature set, newly available wired integration options, and overall superior support".

The report evaluated ProCurve's current offering and strategy for WLAN infrastructure against approximately 54 criteria and concluded: "Overall, the ProCurve WLAN infrastructure brings an enterprise-class feature in competition with larger vendors."

ProCurve boasts a number of wireless products, including the ProCurve Access Point 530 and the ProCurve 5300xl Wireless Edge Service Module with coordinated ProCurve Radio Ports.

"We are proud to be recognised as a leader in WLAN infrastructure by Forrester," Mark Thompson, global director of sales and marketing at ProCurve Networking said in a statement.
