Oasis Investment Company (OIC), the holding company of Al-Shirawi Group, is deploying Oracle's E-Business Suite to standardise best practices across its companies.

The software implementations will cover all its business activities, which range from manufacturing and engineering to printing, trading, distribution and logistics, and contracting. The group has selected specific application modules such as project contracts, advanced pricing, sourcing and payroll, EAM and integrating with EBS as foundation.

OIC said it needed to track finances and human resources (HR) for more than 2,500 employees across 30 companies in a centralised manner.

"Previously, our group companies had separate ‘silos' of information about finances, human resources, procurement, and other key functions. We're now integrating and standardising all of these processes with the Oracle E-Business Suite so we have a single viewpoint across the group," said M.N. Chaturvedi, director of IT at OIC.

"As we expand our diverse business interests, the Oracle solution will enable OIC to make more informed decisions based on complete information about our finances and the current state of our companies, while boosting internal productivity across all divisions," he added.
