UAE telecoms operator Etisalat has been praised for its work in corporate social responsibility.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, acting director general, Dubai Municipality, received representatives from Etisalat and the Etisalat Academy and thanked them for their support during this year's Youth Environment Conference.

Lootah presented Abdullah Al Mana, general manager, Dubai region, for Etisalat, and Alabbas Mirza Ahli, human resources and administration manager at the Etisalat Academy, with a crystal plaque and certificate of appreciation to mark their participation.

The Youth Environment Conference was attended by many local and international dignitaries, including HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and ruler of Dubai. They were joined by some 500 delegates from 34 countries around the world.

The objective of the conference was to actively involve the youth in development and to introduce them to educational programmes.

Etisalat has previously participated in many conferences and events beneficial to the environment and has supported community focused activities across the United Arab Emirates.
