New mobile operator targets business market with new price plans.

The UAE's second telecoms operator du has made a significant step towards taking a slice of the business calls market from rival Etisalat, after rolling out a range of new business price plans. It has announced the National Business Calling Circle and International Preferred Destination services, offering businesses a novel way to save on frequent national and international calls. The announcement was made at the MECOM Exhibition, which runs till 25 April in Abu Dhabi.

"Telecommunications is an integral part of any business. It offers businesses a constant link with their associates to ensure success of their enterprise. Recognising this, du is redefining how telecommunications, once regarded an additional expenditure, can now be seen as a business facilitator," said Osman Sultan, CEO of du.

du brings a choice of mobile plans - du business Mobile Connect and du business Mobile Pay as you Go Plus - that businesses can combine to cater to the varied voice and data communication needs of their employees. The plans include extensive business mobile features and extra benefits for businesses.

The national business calling circle service - a closed user group of all du mobile users in the business - offers 50% savings for all national mobile calls until 31 December 2007 (for activities before 31 July 2007), and 25% savings thereafter. This service fits well with the communications behaviour of businesses in the UAE and as research indicates an average 20% of business calls are to colleagues within the business.

The International Preferred Destination service offers 10% discount to one popular business international destination. The service offers significant benefits to businesses with extensive international communication needs as research indicates an average 70% of international business calls are to one key international destination.

du business Mobile plans includes other features and benefits like pay by the second, volume discounts, multiple connection discounts, out-of-credit calls, automatic top-ups and access to wide range of next generation mobile services.

"du recognises the importance of telecommunications for every business with our dedicated business division, account managers and business help desk to ensure a positive telecom experience for the business customers," Sultan added.

We experienced a huge mess up with DU to get a business line, where reason like staff is not feeling well and concerned person in on vaction were given, no one know whats happening there they are in a complete chaos, it took a tedious process to get a line itself. I wonder how the service will be. God bless us!
