Technology heavyweight IBM has completed its ‘Lotus comes to you' roadshow across the Gulf region, which it conducted to introduce new innovations and advances in Lotus Notes and Domino software to its channel partners across the region.

IBM used the roadshow, which was undertaken alongside partners GBM and SBM, as an opportunity to encourage innovation, collaboration and differentiation among its allies in a bid to promote business growth.

After commencing in Bahrain, the roadshow moved to Dubai, then Oman, Qatar and Kuwait before concluding in Saudi Arabia. "Today's businesses require a flexible and high-performance work environment in order to respond effectively to the changing demands," said Bashar Kilani, software group manager at IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "With IBM's latest Lotus Notes and Domino technology, businesses are provided with a fully integrated collaborative environment with enhanced features that allow them to become more effective and responsive," he added.

The roadshow addressed the evolution of IBM's Lotus and Domino product families, which promote next generation e-mail and collaboration platforms.

It also focused on IBM's WebSphere Portal solution, as the vendor educated partners on how to use its technology to speed business transactions and increase productivity using workplace forms that allow access to instant information. "Businesses are constantly seeking ways to become more responsive and productive without spending too much and that's where IBM fits perfectly," added Kilani. "IBM's enhanced solutions enable businesses to achieve growth through flexibility, collaboration and better use of resources, and that is what we shared with our customers on the road," he concluded.
