FSC promises more partner support

PC manufacturer vows to provide training days for more partners in the Gulf following series of events in Saudi.

Fujitsu Siemens is vowing to roll out more training and solution update events in "strategic markets" across the Middle East region after hosting a roadshow in Saudi Arabia.

The company held a number of training and half-day technology workshops for Saudi customers and resellers in Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar during which it outlined solution updates for both volume and value products.

"Our objective in hosting these training and solution updates across Saudi Arabia is to help enable a new oasis of technology to be created in that market - one that addresses the business demands of our customers and helps our partners to grow their organisations as well," said Samer Sayed, regional sales manager for Fujitsu Siemens Saudi Arabia.

He added: "Fujitsu Siemens' customers in Saudi Arabia have identified two key issues for 2007 - the need for greater employee mobility and the demand for a more dynamic data centre. We are addressing these objectives through our range of mobile and infrastructure solutions."

News of plans to provide more training updates comes just a month after Fujitsu Siemens signed local heavyweight BDL as an in-country distribution partner.

The firm had also been working with AIM, but the relationship broke down after the distributor claimed it did not receive sufficient support when the Saudi market suffered a crisis last year.
