Networking vendor Cisco has warned of multiple vulnerabilities in two of its wireless products.

In an advisory issued on its web site on April 12, the firm alerted users to vulnerabilities in its Wireless Control System (WCS) which, among other things, could allow an attacker to read from and write to arbitrary files on the server hosting the application.

The WCS works with Cisco Aironet lightweight access points, Cisco wireless LAN controllers and the Cisco Wireless Location Appliance by providing tools for planning and design, system configuration, location tracking, security monitoring and wireless LAN management.

In a second advisory issued the same date, Cisco warned of multiple vulnerabilities in its Cisco Wireless LAN Controller.

The vulnerabilities could result in a denial of service condition, information disclosure, access control list changes or allow an attacker to gain full administrative access, the vendor said.
