Hard drive vendor Western Digital (WD) outlined its latest products to distributors and resellers at its annual MEA partner conference in Ras Al Khaimah last week.

Distributors and resellers from Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Libya and the UAE attended Western Digital's Annual Meet, at which the vendor made a detailed presentation on products that it planned to launch in the region shortly, such as the My Book World Edition family of shared storage appliances.

Company officials updated the resellers on the technical aspects of the product so that they would be able to educate the channel on the product's benefits.

The family of shared storage appliances allows consumers and home office workers to securely access their digital content and share it from anywhere in the world. The 1Tbyte My Book World Edition II model is equipped with a dual-drive configuration and Raid capability.

"The WD Annual Meet is the perfect setting to meet our channel partners across the region on a one-to-one level, and also provides an opportunity for all the channel partners to know each other and share their experiences," said Hafeez Khawaja, Western Digital senior regional director for MEA and South Asia.
