MTC Kuwait is deploying Motorola's Global Applications Management Architecture (GAMA) solution to optimise the speed of data services on its network.

Under the terms of the agreement, announced last week, Motorola will roll out its GAMA systems integration and network optimisation solution to accelerate the delivery of data to mobile devices such as PDAs, laptops and mobile phones - even over low-bandwidth connections - and enable MTC's network to more easily accommodate additional users.

Motorola said the enhanced network would enable users to access mobile web pages and e-mail on the move at a faster rate than previously.

"Providing high quality service is one of the most important aspects of our operation at MTC Kuwait, as is continuous improvement of the data network speeds to meet our customers' expanding mobile communication requirements," said Barrak Al Sabeeh, general manager of MTC Kuwait.

Ali Amer, vice president of Motorola Networks and Enterprise for MEA and Pakistan, added: "The seamless deployment means that customers will gain the benefits of a faster service, allowing them to get more out of their mobile applications, which in turn encourages them to use those applications even more."

The deal follows the deployment of a nationwide 3G mobile broadband network by Motorola for MTC in Kuwait that was announced in January.
